An AI adviser that has actually read the bulletin.
No hallucinated course lists. GradGPS reads your transcript PDF, matches every course against the real Penn State catalog — not a simplified copy — and plans your remaining semesters, so the route it gives you is one the registrar would agree with.
Three steps from transcript to graduation.
No spreadsheets, no guessing which requirements you’ve already knocked out, no waiting two weeks for an advising appointment to find out.
Upload your transcript
Grab the app on TestFlight, export your unofficial transcript from LionPATH (Academic Records → Unofficial Transcript — free and instant), and drop it in. Every course, credit, and grade parsed in seconds.
Pick your major
Search any Penn State major and add your concentration. Switching majors? Re-run the audit and instantly see what still counts.
Follow your route
You get a full degree audit plus a semester-by-semester timeline to graduation, recalculated every time your record changes.
Watch a real route come together.
Every stop is a semester — completed ones checked off, a “you are here” marker on the term in progress, and a dashed line running all the way to your graduation pin.
What the audit actually checks.
Penn State’s requirements are full of alternatives, credit pools, and rules about which course may count for what. GradGPS models them rather than flattening them.
A real degree audit
Every requirement group in your major, checked against your record — including alternatives like MATH 110 or MATH 140, and credit pools that let you choose.
Gen eds, handled
Arts, sciences, humanities, cultures, quantification, writing-intensive — all eight domains tracked, with the one-course-one-category rules applied correctly.
Official plan sequencing
Where Penn State publishes a Suggested Academic Plan, your timeline follows it — prerequisites in order, credits balanced, reflowed around what you’ve already taken.
Know your professors
Professor ratings appear right on each course, so when your route says “take STAT 200,” you also know who to take it with.
Reroutes in real time
Change your major, add a class, drop one — the audit and timeline rebuild instantly. Your plan is never a stale PDF from freshman orientation.
Private by default
Your transcript belongs to you — it’s used to build your plan and nothing else, it never goes to a third-party AI service, and you can delete it any time.
Where it stops short.
Worth knowing before you rely on it — these are the current limits, not marketing copy.
- University Park majors only, for now. Roughly 180 of them have an official Suggested Academic Plan modelled. If yours doesn’t, you still get the full audit — the timeline is packed by credit load instead of following a published sequence.
- Your adviser is still the authority. Departments grant exceptions and substitutions that no catalog records. GradGPS lets you declare a substitution yourself, but that’s your declaration, not an approved exception.
- Unofficial transcripts work best. Official transcripts are a different, harder layout; GradGPS detects them and will tell you if the parse looks unreliable rather than storing a garbled one.
- iPhone only right now. Android is on the roadmap, not in the beta.
